Route 66 casino hotel and rv park

Although it is just off I-40 and behind the casino, there is very little road noise. We stayed at Route 66 RV resort for 14 nights. The internet was good for general surfing and email but don’t expect to stream videos, especially at night. There was a separate bath house and laundry serving the lower portion of the resort (did not use). The bathrooms were nicely appointed and meticulously clean and a bonus was the availability of coffee, tea and hot chocolate in the activity center. The electric/water/sewer hook ups were well done and convenient. There was ample room at the site with its concrete pad and were situated in such a way that your door did not open at your neighbors rv. And there is an excellent stainless steel dog wash with warm water and a separate large table for drying. And there is an attempt to have grass in the two dog parks as well as some sites – a definite challenge in this climate but much appreciated. The landscaping was very nice with combination of different color/size stones and plants. All staff we encountered during our stay were professional and very pleasant especially Carlos, Curtis, and Nicholas.

The check in process was quick and were guided to our site. Although a bit of a distance from Albuquerque, it was an easy drive into town while having a rural feel.
